With immediate effect the two businesses, DTS (Davis Tattoo Supplies) and Barber of Sheffield have merged creating the largest supplier in the UK of tattoo and body piercing equipment.
DTS has been trading as a company for more than 20 years, but the Davis name of brothers George and Charles has been associated with the profession since 1890. George Burchett-Davis is a legend and the most famous tattooist of his time. He opened his first shop in East London in 1900 and was joined by his younger brother Charles who learned the art from him. He passed his skills onto his son Charles Davis who established a Tattoo Supplies Company on a very small scale. Charles retired in 1983 and passed the business onto his son Eric Davis who expanded the business which he ran for 20 years and which is now known as DTS. Although Eric retired in 2003 the business has continued to run successfully and has a loyal customer base who respects the DTS name.
Barber of Sheffield is relatively new to the Tattoo & Body Piercing industry having entered the market in 2001 with a range of medical products and body piercing supplies. They now sell a complete range of products for both the tattoo and body piercing market. Barber of Sheffield has built their reputation on being able to supply a wide range of products at competitive prices and providing a quick delivery on orders.
The merger of the two businesses will create a perfect partnership, providing a vast range of top quality products at extremely competitive prices. We look forward to continuing our relationship with both sets of customers and can assure you that the quality of service and products will continue.
We will continue to operate from both the DTS catalogue and the Barber of Sheffield catalogue until March 2007 when a new catalogue will be introduced. Please continue to place your orders in the same way as before.
